9 Partners Monument
Located off Rte. 547 between Kingsley and Harford.
Commemorates the nine pioneers who settled what is now Harford Twp.
Mormon Monument
Located on Rte. 171 between Oakland and Hallstead..
Set in a park-like atmosphere, the monument depicts John the Baptist conferring priesthood on Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery.
Pennsylvania Anthracite Coal Miners Memorial
Located at South Main Street, Forest City.
A superb and moving tribute to the miners who toiled in the anthracite fields; it includes a callage of scenes.
Susquehanna County Civil War Monument
Located on the Green, Montrose.
Dedicated on July 4, 1877, this monument was designed by Susquehanna County resident and Civil War veteran, Capt. J.R. Lyons. His heartfelt wish was that the monument would stand as a point of special pride for those who had lost relatives in the conflict. Stone tablets surrounding the monument list thenames of local soldiers who died between 1861 and 1865.
