Clifford Children’s Garden

The Clifford Children’s Garden is a one-acre park where kids can play and use their imagination while learning about local history and ecology. Created by the Clifford Township Historical Society, the garden was built across from the northernmost mine entrance in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Today, a replica mine shaft shares the story for generations to come.

The Clifford Children’s Garden features other heritage-based play areas, including a dinosaur area, a Native American longhouse and teepee, a settler’s log cabin, and more.

The Clifford Children’s Garden is located adjacent to the Clifford Community Park on Cemetery Street. It is open from dawn to dusk daily, and it is free to enter.
