Meet the four actors in this summer’s comic play, SYLVIA, watch them perform a scene, and enjoy a Q&A with the actors and Eagles Mere’s own theatre artists Harriet Power (director), Molly Maginnis (costume designer), & Emily Schuman (stage manager).

David Ingram and Charlotte Northeast, who play the husband and wife, are among Philadelphia’s most renowned performers. The other actors, Sophia Barrett and Jake Blouch, have played all the roles in the hit comedy, The Forever Question, two summers ago at the DeWire Center.

A dog, Sylvia, adopts a middle-aged man in Central Park. Chaos ensues. His wife is shocked and unhappy with Sylvia while the husband’s affections for the dog careen in too many directions. This play is a comic snapshot of how marriages negotiate the unexpected . . . and a celebration of the unconditional love dogs share with humans.
