A self-guided tour of 20+ art galleries plus antiques, gift & artisan shops, restaurants, and more along scenic Route 6 in Wyoming County — from Laceyville to La Plume.
The North Branch Art Trail, a program of the Kitson Arts Alliance, proudly presents a very special Veterans Day Weekend event — the Route 6 Open House Gallery Tour. As a special salute to our region’s veterans, the public is encouraged to get out and explore a 28-mile stretch of US-6 in Wyoming County on November 8th (Friday), 9th (Saturday), and/or 10th (Sunday) and visit as many of the 23 tour stops along the way as possible. Tour stops include art galleries plus a variety of neat shops (antiques, gift & artisan), restaurants, and more in Laceyville, Black Walnut, Meshoppen, Tunkhannock, Factoryville, and La Plume.
Of particular interest are the tour’s two Pop-Up Gallery group shows — one at American Legion Post 510 in Black Walnut and the other at Greenwood’s Furniture in Tunkhannock. Each will showcase the works of several local artists & artisans.
The Gallery Tour takes place from 10am to 6pm each day, but participants are encouraged to check in advance for specific venue days/hours.
Tour stops include:
American Legion Post 510 (Black Walnut)
Burke’s Gun Shop & Indoor Shooting Range (Meshoppen)
Courthouse Art Gallery (Tunkhannock)
Dietrich Theater Art Galleries (Tunkhannock)
Downtown Deli (Tunkhannock)
The Fireplace Restaurant & Art Galleries (Tunkhannock)
J.R’s Hallmark (Tunkhannock)
Keystone Konfections (Tunkhannock)
Mercantile 22 (Tunkhannock)
Greenwood’s Furniture (Tunkhannock)
A special gallery tour section will be included in the Fall/Holiday 2019 issue of The NBat Guide (the North Branch Art Trail’s quarterly regional arts publication). These guides can be picked up from any tour stop the week before the gallery tour.
There will be a Gallery Game in which participants are invited to pick up a game piece at each tour stop they visit and turn them in with an entry form for a chance to win prizes. The more tour stops they visit, the better their chance to win. The Gallery Game entry form will also be published in The NBat Guide.
