Join the annual Spring Cleanup Day at Salt Springs Park on Saturday, April 26, starting at 9 a.m.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, including clearing 15 miles of trails, cleaning the Wheaton House and other buildings, raking flowerbeds and lawns, splitting firewood, painting directional signs, preparing the vegetable garden, and tidying up the campgrounds.
The Friends of Salt Springs Park is the only nonprofit group actively managing a PA state park. Over the past 30 years, the Friends have doubled the park’s size and restored major buildings, all thanks to the support of our local community. With help from volunteers throughout the year, the Friends serve thousands of visitors, providing free parking and admission, without receiving any operating funds from the state.
Lunch and a T-shirt will be provided for all volunteers. To ensure we have enough supplies, please register here. Thank you for supporting the park!
