The Endless Mountains Heritage Region and Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals are partnering to host another Summer Heritage Benefit Paddle on July 13, 2024, in Wyoming County that will take paddlers on a 12-mile river adventure from Tunkhannock to Falls Township. Participants should arrive at Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals (119 Krafty Rd., Falls, PA 18615) by 8 a.m. to check in and sign waivers. Following a welcome and safety briefing, participants, their kayaks/canoes, and gear will be shuttled to Riverside Park in Tunkhannock (112b River St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657) where we will launch downriver. We intend to launch by 10 a.m. Participants should bring a snack or bagged lunch with them, as we plan to stop along the way at the White’s Ferry launch for a break.

Upon returning to Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals (approximately 4 p.m.), paddlers will enjoy a wine tasting with Bartolai Winery, a dinner prepared by the Coolbaugh family, live country/folk music from Bobby Scott, and a presentation about parks in Wyoming County with County Planner and EMHR board member Lynnelle Farber.

Proceeds from this event will benefit parks in Wyoming County. Registration is $60 for those bringing their own watercraft and $100 for those renting a single kayak, or $120 if renting a tandem kayak/canoe. This registration fee includes each participant’s donation to the Wyoming County parks, insurance, the dinner, entertainment, and educational programming. Participants are asked to bring appropriate footwear and clothing, a lunch/snacks, sunscreen, and a personal supply of water.

This event is being funded in part by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau, and the Wyoming County Room Tax Fund.
