Tunkhannock celebrates quilts, art, music, and shopping with the celebration of Hometown Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 1 starting at 10 a.m.
This event, offered by the Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association, takes place along the streets and in the shops throughout the Tunkhannock area.
Among the events scheduled is a quilt display at the United Methodist Church on Church Street where quilts are uniquely displayed in the church. The church community is also organizing a tasty bake sale and creative basket sale. Many businesses and residences will be displaying quilts.
Numerous artists, coordinated by Kitson Arts Alliance will be featured along Tioga Street. They will be joined by an eclectic variety of musicians. Plein air artists will be stationed throughout town creating a street scape from different perspectives. Restaurants are creating some fall treats, and fall adult beverages can be found at Nimble Hill Winery and Brewery along with Wyoming County Beverage.
Restaurants are offering special fall-themed menus, and the Dietrich Theater has an eclectic variety of attractions planned. Don’t miss the shops and their offerings.
Music continues into the evening at The Blogg, on Tioga Street.
