Come join this class at the Eagles Mere Country Club where attendees will learn how to make their own wine basket woven on a 4” wooden base. The basket is 10” high with a wire handle and will be a beautiful way to display or transport a single bottle of wine. There will also be an added bonus of a wine tasting at 4 pm with EMCC Manager Sean Caviston.

About Karen Spring: Karen lives in the Hughesville area and started weaving baskets after she took classes in 1986 at the former WACC, now Penn College. Over the years Karen has attended many craft shows to sell her baskets and also does personalized orders. In the last 20 Karen has taught basket classes once or twice a month at my church in Clarkstown, once a month at Copi a shop in Montoursville, and also regularly at Centered Earth a pottery shop in Pennsdale. She enjoys weaving baskets that you can use for decorating or storage as well as Memory Baskets with items from a loved one that she weaves their personal items into a basket for a family member to have as a keepsake.
