Have you ever been to Laceyville`s Oldest House? Originally built in the 1780s, this house is believed to be one of the oldest frame dwellings in the Endless Mountains. Today, it serves as a museum showcasing three floors of local artifacts and exhibits. The Oldest House is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 in the summer, as well as for special events.

Come on a hike with us at Salt Springs State Park near Montrose! 🥾

Our adventure started along the gorge on Fall Brook, which is home to three waterfalls. We then continued along Hemlock Trail. This boardwalk path meanders through an old-growth hemlock forest where many of the trees that are over 300 years old. The trail also passes the famous Penny Rock, where visitors have pounded coins into the rock for good luck.

The Endless Mountains Primitive Outdoorsmen (@empousinfo) will host their annual Muzzleloader Rendezvous Black Powder Shoot & Artisan Show on September 12-13, 2026, at the Black Walnut American Legion. Come learn about life in the frontier days with living history campsites, demonstrations, traditional craft vendors, and more. They will host shooting contests and primitive competitions both days.

Happening today at Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park until 2pm! The Jersey Grays reenactment group will be at the park and doing another drill at 12:45pm. Vendors and local historic groups will be at the park throughout the afternoon. ...
