Happy 25th anniversary to the @dietrichtheater in Tunkhannock! 🎉The Dietrich shows the latest movies, as well as seasonal film festivals showcasing the finest foreign and independent films. It also serves at the Wyoming County Cultural Center, hosting art and wellness classes, children`s programs, community events, and much more.

The theater was originally built in 1937 (check out the historic photo of George Dietrich below), but it had to close its doors in the `80s. Luckily, a group of dedicated volunteers restored and reopened the theater in 2001. It has remained a gem in downtown Tunkhannock and serves thousands of people every year.

Even though we’re called the Endless Mountains, the Susquehanna River is just as iconic as our rolling hills. It weaves among the forests and farmland, rubs shoulders with historic Route 6, and sets a tranquil backdrop for our small towns. You can admire its beauty from roadside overlooks and local parks, but the best way to experience the wonders of the river is to get on the water.

The Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts (@official.emfa) will kick off their 2026 summer season soon! This community arts center hosts classes, concerts, live theatre, and other cultural events from late June through August. Our executive director, Jean Ruhf, is retiring this month after 20 years of serving the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to promote our region, support local businesses and nonprofits, and ensure that our rural communities had a voice on the state level. Congratulations, Jean! You have made an incredible impact on our area!

Our bookkeeper, Janet Harabin, will also be retiring after 19 years at EMVB. She has done an outstanding job helping visitors, serving our members, and making sure our office runs smoothly. Congratulations, Janet! ...
