Tucked away just west of Scranton, the Endless Mountains region is one of the best kept secrets in Pennsylvania. You won’t find crowds or traffic here—just the tranquility of nature and charm of the countryside. Sullivan and Wyoming counties will remind you of “the way things used to be.” Small shops and family-run restaurants still line our historic downtown streets. Rustic farms dot the rolling hills. Parks and public lands welcome you to reconnect with the outdoors. There’s no better place to slow down, unplug, and make memories.

@indralokasanctuary is thinking spring! Beginning in March, public tours, storytime and toddler tours, monthly meditations with the animals, and other events will start back up for the 2026 season. Early bird registration is also open for Earth Camp for kids ages 5-14.

Come along with us as we ride the Eagles Mere Toboggan Slide! 🛷

The slide is a quarter-mile-long chute made completely of ice blocks cut from the nearby lake. Sleds can reach speeds up to 45 miles per hour!

The slide first began in 1904 and has remained a beloved winter tradition for over 120 years. It can only operate during very cold winters, but it’s well worth the wait for the perfect conditions!

The toboggan slide is an important fundraiser for local fire companies. Come out for some epic winter fun, all for a good cause.

The slide will be open today (2/15/26) from 10am to 6pm. With a warmup coming, please check the Eagles Mere Volunteer Fire Company’s Facebook page, visit eaglesmeretobogganslide.com, or call 570-525-3244 for updates. ...
