Summer is coming, and that means the Eagles Mere Air & Motorcycle Museum and the @eaglesmereautomuseum_pa are reopening for the season! There will be a cruise-in on May 23 the celebrate the opening day.

✈The Eagles Mere Air Museum showcases planes, engines, and artifacts from 1908 to 1940. All planes in the collection are in flying condition; you might even see them in action at Merritt Field.

🚗 The Eagles Mere Auto Museum features a stunning collection of road-ready antique and classic cars. Surrounded by memorabilia and collectibles, this museum will take you back to the days of road trips and vintage Americana.

🏍 The Eagles Mere Motorcycle Museum features about 65 unique bikes from across the decades, including a collection of Superbikes of the `70s.

The museums will open on May 23 and remain open on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through October 10. ...

The @north_branch_trout_derby is preparing for a busy weekend! 🎣

On May 16, children ages 1-16 can compete in the annual kids trout derby on Windy Valley Road in Forkston. The pond and creek will will be stocked with over 1,000 trout, and there will be raffles and family fun throughout the day.

Then on May 17, they`ll host the veterans and special needs fishing derby. There will be food and drinks for participants and their families, fishing guides to assist, and a fish cleaning station available.

In honor of @570_day, Vosburg Neck State Park in Tunkhannock hosted a Hike and Sip event today! Hikers took a walk along the Canal and River Trails, spotting birds, bluebells, and other signs of spring by the Susquehanna River. After the hike, they enjoyed coffee and treats at @unwindcafeandmarket.

Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, is home to three covered bridges: the Hillsgrove Covered Bridge, the Forksville Covered Bridge, and the Sonestown Covered Bridge. Originally built around 1850, they are still in use today.

Happy 35th anniversary to @railtrailnepa! 🎉 This nonprofit organization brings new life to historic railbeds, creating recreational trails for the community to enjoy.

You might know the Rail-Trail Council from their tireless work on the D&H Rail-Trail, a 38-mile trail from Simpson to Lanesboro. Named Pennsylvania`s 2021 Trail of the Year, it is an excellent spot for cycling and walking, as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Follow their Facebook page for upcoming events on the trail, such as full moon walks, groups hikes, and group bike rides.
