The Eagles Mere Conservancy offers a variety of hands-on, nature-based programs for all ages, including STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities.
7/10 Friday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. STEAM: Smokey Bear & Fire Prevention (All ages): After an informative
program on fire prevention and the methods used to fight forest fires, everyone’s favorite bear will pay a visit. Don’t
forget your camera! Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
7/31 Friday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. STEAM: Who’s Gotta Regatta? (All ages): Sailing has played a huge role in our
Eagles Mere Lake history since 1809. Learn about different types of sailing vessels that have raced on our lake. Come
create a boat of bark and other natural materials and see how much mass it can hold before gravity overtakes the
buoyant force. We can have our own little Regatta! Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
