The annual Christmas in Dushore celebration will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with a day full of festive events.

The morning begins at with breakfast with Santa at Pam’s Restaurant at 8 a.m. Sponsored by the Dushore Lions Club, this event is free for children under 12 and $7 for children 12 and over and adults. Each family receives one free picture with Santa.

New for 2025, the Blitzen’s Blazers 5K Run/Walk is a reindeer-themed race that will start at 9 a.m. behind Sinclair’s Hardware. The first 25 finishers will receive t-shirts. The race is sponsored by the Sullivan County Recreation Association.

Another new addition is the faux snowman contest at Kast Pond. Residents and businesses are invited to make snowmen from any available items. The creations will be displayed around the pond through January.

Vendors at Pealer Hall

The fun continues that evening with caroling at 5:15 p.m. and the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. near the Sullivan Review building. The Parade of Lights will follow at 6 p.m. with lighted floats and Santa’s arrival on the firetruck.

Businesses throughout town will host fun activities. The schedule includes:

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Cookie Walk at Dushore Fire Hall
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Gingerbread House Decorating at Redeemer Bible Church
9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cards for Veterans at Sinclair’s Hardware
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Basket Raffle at St. Basil’s Hall; will move downtown after 4 p.m. with drawing before the parade
9 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Book sale, crafts, and cozy reading room at the Sullivan County Library
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Christmas craft at Dushore Pharmacy
10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Christmas Scavenger Hunt starting at Pealer Hall
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Vendors and food at St. Basil’s Hall, Pealer Hall, and Center Streets
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cookie decorating at Rocky Forest Real Estate
12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Elf Toss Game at Agway Greenhouse
12 p.m. – closing Adult Hot Chocolate at Smith’s Bar & Grill
1 p.m. Ugly Sweater Contest at Pealer Hall
3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Live reindeer behind Dushore Hardware
All Day Photo-Op Nativity on Center Street
All Day Letters to Santa at Pealer Hall
All Day Tree Fest at St. Basil’s Hall
