Christmas in Montrose will be here before we know it! December 4, 5, and 6th, 2026 will bring thousands of people to our little town. “A Vintage Country Christmas” is the theme for this year’s Christmas in Montrose celebration.
What is Christmas in Montrose all about? Taken from Christmas in Montrose “Christmas in Montrose is an annual festival that captures the joy of the holiday season and celebrates the close-knit, neighbor-helping-neighbor values that make our small town so special”.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “A Vintage Country Christmas” which creates the thoughts of an old-fashioned “Hallmark” holiday distinct from commercialized themes.
Who benefits from the money raised during Christmas in Montrose? Local families in need, children and nursing home residents in our county. In addition, the funds raised fill emergency needs throughout the year for local families.
As you can imagine bringing all the pieces together for this event is no small feat, and it takes many, many hands. As Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”.
The Christmas in Montrose committee, would appreciate having you on our team. We will be respectful of your time, just a few hours are all we ask. We want you to have fun while you are helping so consider, what do you enjoy doing? We have several pieces that make up Christmas in Montrose, with opportunities to volunteer before, during, and after the actual event. One of these could be right up your alley. Helping with the Jingle Bell 5k may be what you would enjoy, overseeing the s’mores is a tasty job, “Is music your jam”? Help set up for all the musicians who volunteer their time for the festival. Like to work out, moving the storefronts to the Green and back may be just the thing for you.
