Our railroads were important to Sullivan County’s growth, as they transported ice, lumber, buffalo hides, and people. Start your “journey” at the Eagles Mere museum’s model of our narrow-gauge railroad exhibit. The first 5 individuals attending (one per person or group) will receive a 9 x 6 print of the Eagles Mere narrow-gauge railroad. A variety of uncovered railroad items from Dushore’s railroad station will also be for sale. The journey continues from Eagles Mere to Sonestown with a tour of the station built by A.C. Little. From there, drive to Lake Mokoma and learn their unique story. We conclude our journey with a short talk at the Dushore train station and a tour of the station and railcar.
