Age 10+
Join us for this fun class for ages 10 and up! Judy Steinhilper from Wildberry Studios in Williamsport will lead this 3-hour class in creating a beautiful art piece by casting plants in plaster.
Students will use a variety of fresh plants to compose a design that is pressed into clay, then a special casting medium is poured into the clay. The resulting artwork is a stunning casting of the intricate form and texture of the botanicals. The artwork can be left white or can be enhanced with acrylic paint to add color. Finished artwork can then be displayed by hanging or displayed on easel.
Students are encouraged to bring their own fresh plant specimens to use or use the plants and flowers provided by the instructor. Size of finished artwork is approximately 5” x 7”. You will take home your creation that day.
