Join us for a special presentation by Tony Brooks, director and curator of the Wilkes‑Barré Preservation Society. Brooks will share the rich architectural and social history of the 1793 Zebulon Butler House, the oldest home in Wilkes‑Barre, and explore the lives of the four generations of the Butler family who lived there from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War. Brooks’s own family roots, including the Pettebone, Carey, and Bennett families, reach back to the Susquehanna Company of Connecticut, offering a unique personal lens into the region’s earliest history. He has been honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution with the Founders Award for Patriotism for his contributions to historic preservation and public education
