Endless Mountains Heritage Region’s annual Fall Heritage Benefit Paddle returns on Saturday, Oct. 3, beginning in New York this year. View spectacular fall foliage of the Southern Tier of New York and NEPA during this 11-mile adventure that will begin in Nichols, NY! Participants are asked to meet at Sayre Riverfront Park (100 Riverfront Park Rd, Sayre Pa 18840) by 8 a.m. for registration check-in and to sign waivers. Following the welcome and safety briefing, they will be shuttled to the Nichols launch in New York and get on the river to paddle back to Sayre by mid-afternoon. After the paddle, participants will caravan over to Bluestone Brewery (18 Pitney St, South Waverly, PA 18840) for dinner and entertainment, which is included in your registration fee.

This event will benefit the Sayre Historical Society, formed in 1989, to preserve the rich history of Sayre and the surrounding area.

Participants are encouraged to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for that day’s weather, sunscreen, a sufficient supply of water, any snacks desired, and a dry bag to keep their supplies in.

Registration costs are $60 for those bringing their own kayak. The registration fee for this event includes a donation to the Sayre Historical Society, insurance, dinner from Bluestone Brewing, and educational programming. Those needing to rent a watercraft have the option of a single-day kayak rental for $50 or $70 for those renting a tandem kayak or canoe. Register by Monday, September 28.
