Take an epic four-day river adventure down the Susquehanna River’s North Branch with the Endless Mountains Heritage Region! We are bringing back our four-day North Branch Sojourn on July 23-26, in partnership with Endless Mountains Outfitters and Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals. This year’s route will begin at the French Azilum Historic Site in Bradford County and go to Plains Township in Luzerne County for a total of 68 river miles! Participants are asked to arrive at Endless Mountains Campground (255 Catfish Ln, Laceyville, PA 18623) by 8 a.m. on July 23 to sign waivers and check in.
Paddlers who are traveling a distance have the option to camp overnight at Endless Mountains Campground the evening before on Wednesday, July 22.
The first evening of the sojourn, participants will camp at Endless Mountains Campground in Laceyville, the second evening, they will camp at Eaton Township’s property at the end of North Eaton Road, and the third evening will have camping at Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals in Falls Township. Participants will drive their vehicle to the next campsite each morning to ensure their vehicle is waiting for them when we get off the water at the end of each day’s trip. Each morning, they will be shuttled back up to the starting point for that day’s river miles.
Those who do not wish to camp also have the option of making local accommodations for themselves. EMHR has flexible options for partial rentals for this trip, which can be made through registration. We have single-day, two-day, three-day, and full four-day packages that can cater to your schedule. Feel free to call our office for more information or questions: 570-265-1528. Register by Friday, July 17 for this event. Space is limited, so book your adventure now!
