Participants in this 3-session workshop (July 13, 15, 16) will use acrylic paint to render landscapes of the Loyalsock Creek and its valley. Reference photographs of the area will be provided; however, participants may use their own photos upon approval of the instructor. Basic techniques specific to acrylic will be demonstrated, but there will be an emphasis on personal style. This course is designed for the beginner or intermediate-level artist. All necessary materials will be provided by the instructor, and the course is for adults ages 18+.
About Gerry Mann
Gerry is a retired educator with 31 years of teaching experience in the public schools of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. After 17 years in the science classroom, he earned a Master’s degree in painting and then spent the next 14 years in the art studio. In retirement, he and his wife reside in Laporte, Sullivan County, where he finds no shortage of subjects that inspire his desire to communicate his art through landscapes.
