Sandy Lockerman, a licensed bird bander along with her husband, Gary, visited back in 2025 to talk about hummingbird migration in PA. Now she’s coming back to share her other special bird project, the northern saw-whet owl.
Join The Summit: Center for Wellness to explore this nocturnal bird and the project spearheaded by the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in Millersburg. Learn interesting facts about PA’s smallest owl, some of their biology and migration secrets and examine discoveries made after 30 years of this nighttime banding project.
Sandy’s presentation will be in the Sullivan County High School Auditorium. This program is free and open to the public.
