
Join the Eagles Mere Conservancy for Trails and Tales. Every Wednesday throughout the summer, participants will explore the wonders of nature through stories, creativity and interactive learning.
7/1 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Listen to the story A Frog Thing, a book about
determination and kindness, and then learn about a frog’s life cycle by creating a Frog Wheel to view its stages. Meet
at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
7/8 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Listen to the story about Smokey Bear and
create puppets of him and his forest friends, and put on a play. Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
7/15 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Come listen to the story Wish I Were A
Butterfly and an interactive version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, learn all about butterflies’ metamorphosis, and
create a butterfly lifecycle circle: Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
7/22 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Listen to the story, Wiggling Worms at Work,
and learn all about how awesome worms are for the soil. You will then create your own pudding “Dirt” for your
gummy worm. Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
7/29 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Come learn about seeds and how they grow into plants and vegetables, then create a seed viewing bag to take home so you can see the growth of your very own seeds: Meet at the Cabin, led by Debbie.
8/5 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Listen to the book Sassafras and create a scene
from the book using Dot-to-Dot markers and pictures to describe some of the friends and places he visited. Meet at
the Cabin, led by Debbie.
8/12 Wednesday, 10:00–11:15 a.m. TRAILS and TALES (All ages): Come listen to Animal Homes and learn about
different animal homes, and then create a “Bug Hotel” for the insects in your area: Meet at the Cabin, led by Meredith.
