The Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association presents Founder’s Day on Saturday, June 22, 2024. This annual festival will feature family-friendly events and activities throughout downtown Tunkhannock. Tioga Street, Warren Street, and surrounding areas will be full of artisans, crafters, vendors, food trucks, live music, and entertainment.
Special events will be happening throughout town, including classic car and Model A car shows, Shakespeare in the Park, an open house at the Metcalf Mansion, a Natural Wonders of Wyoming County presentation, and more.

Iron Horse Ramble: Train Ride to Tunkhannock Founder’s Day
The Reading & Northern Railroad is offering a train excursion from their Nesquehoning Campus to downtown Tunkhannock for Founder’s Day. Passengers will ride the mighty T-1 steam locomotive #2102 and arrive in Tunkhannock around lunchtime. They will have time to explore the town and festival before returning to Nesquehoning in the evening. View our calendar page for more information.
