While we tend to think of birds migrating before the onset of winter weather, there are many birds that stay in our area year-round, and even birds we may see in winter but not other times of year. Plus, winter is the perfect time to search in trees because there is less foliage to block the view!
Bundle up and venture outside for a slow-paced walk on River and Canal Trails. We will complete an approximately mile-and-a-half loop on relatively flat terrain with the intention of listening and looking for birds.
A limited amount of binoculars will be available to borrow for the hike.
If there is inclement weather, the event will be cancelled. The park will post on Facebook if this is the case.
