How do you show up for your community? Do you volunteer your time, shop local whenever possible, or maybe you share posts and comment on business pages to show them your support? Whatever your idea of “showing up” is, the #570Day Committee wants you to get involved in #570Day this year on Thursday, May 7! This year’s theme is Celebrating the Spirit of Showing Up. Let’s celebrate the uniqueness of the 570 for a sixth year in a row and emphasize all the 570 has to offer.

What is 570 Day?

#570Day has grown from a social media movement that started in 2021 and is now held yearly on May 7th (5-7-year…See what we did there?). #570Day is a free and fun way to unify the 570 region by highlighting what residents love about living in Northeastern Pennsylvania and promoting local pride and positivity. There are so many unique ways to get involved in this special event, whether it be an online share or post, or at a local hub with your friends. Over the past five years, we have seen our beloved online event grow from a social media movement of positivity and local pride to an online following of over 2,000 people (and climbing!) while local businesses engage with their customers and the community by hosting a #570Day giveaway or special.

Join in on the fun!

570 residents, businesses, and organizations are asked to join us in celebrating their love for the 570 by posting what they love about the area, hosting and taking part in giveaways, discounts, events and so much more on this special day. The possibilities are infinite in how you or your business can get involved! Join us in celebrating our area here in Northeastern Pennsylvania by spreading the love for the 570 and how you show up for it, what you like here, and the businesses you frequent or the local nonprofits who have your heart (and spare time).

Notify your friends and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates as #570Day (Thursday, May 7) gets closer and see all the great things showcased here in Northeast Pennsylvania!
