Rialto Theatre in Canton, PA

Since 1922, the Historic Rialto Theatre has been a hub for the Canton community and surrounding areas. From the curb, as you walk across the Centennial Memorial Plaza and gaze at the newly painted theatre front, you know you are in for a treat. The staff is welcoming and will soon make you feel at home. The interior is simple elegance with a nod to the community’s history through the murals by Scott Griswold Sr. lining both sides of the 154-seat auditorium. There is no bad seat in the theatre. Customers often remark that sitting at a concert in the Rialto is like having the performance in their own living room. You are up close and personal with the performers, and the performers remark that they love being able to interact with the audience too.

The Rialto Theatre not only provides movies on weekends, but also offers a wide array of other entertainment. Comedians, magicians, local talent young and old, recognized musicians, and bands have graced the stage. Additionally, the Rialto hosts documentaries, silent movies with full orchestras, gaming nights, Summer Cinema Book Squad, Girls Night Out, and special
Halloween and Christmas programming. The staff and volunteers are ready and willing to take on the challenge of bringing you these events, leaving you ready to come back to see what’s up at the Rialto.

If you need a venue, the Rialto is also available to be rented. In the past, the theatre has hosted birthday parties, baby showers, wedding showers, reunions, meetings, and special showings of movies. Let your imagination soar; the Rialto is the venue for you.

Come and see why our Rialto motto is “the Biggest Little Theatre in Pennsylvania.”
