About the Webinar
What is the Master Watershed Steward (MWS) Program and what can we do for your community? This information session is all about the Spring 2024 MWS training program and how you can apply to become a Master Watershed Steward, one of Penn State Extension’s fastest-growing and impact-making volunteer programs.

This session is geared toward registrants in Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties. However, we are certainly happy to help others connect to your local MWS program.

Attend this one-hour webinar to learn how the Master Watershed Steward (MWS) program educates and empowers volunteers to do watershed projects and education in their communities.

What do Master Watershed Stewards do?
-Educate both adults and children about water quality, wildlife habitats, and the environment
-Develop educational materials
-Organize and conduct educational events, clean-ups, and invasive plant removal projects
-Design and maintain demonstration gardens
-Conduct stream monitoring projects and research
-Research and write newsletters and online articles
-Collaborate with municipal officials on stormwater management projects like bioswales, raingardens, native meadows, and green solutions
