Lauren and Will Davis, the new owners of Pioneer Campground in Muncy Valley, welcome the community to a family-friendly celebration on May 2, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m.

Held in partnership with the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, this free event will give the public a chance to meet the Davis family and tour the campground. The camp store will be open for browsing, and there will be a bounce house for the kids. Food and drink trucks, including Bare Bones BBQ, will be onsite. Visitors can also explore the campground’s hiking trail, playground, activities building, pavilion with game room, cabins, cottages, and pool area.

The Davis family purchased the campground from longtime owners Stacey and John Kwieraga in February 2026. As frequent campers themselves, they had the opportunity to be mentored under the Kwieragas for the past three years. They intend to maintain the family-oriented atmosphere and quality experience that Pioneer Campground is known for. Lauren’s parents, John and Sheri Croll, will serve as the campground hosts and become familiar faces to guests.

“Their visible passion, dedication, and commitment to preserving this beloved destination while enhancing the visitor experience reflects the very best of our local business community,” said Camelia Peguero, managing director of the Sullivan County Chamber. “We look forward to the positive impact they will continue to bring to Sullivan County and encourage the community to come out, show their support, and experience all that Pioneer Campground has to offer.”

Lauren and Will live in Hughesville with their four children. In addition to the campground, they also own rental properties in the Hughesville area as well as Pioneer Homes, two short-term vacation rentals.

Pioneer Campground is located at 307 Pioneer Trail in Muncy Valley, just off of Route 220. They are open from April through October, offering RV sites, tent sites, cabins, and fully furnished cottages. Nightly, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rentals are available.
