Find the Perfect Gift at Our Local Businesses
Wrap up your holiday shopping list in the Endless Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Here in the country, you won’t find shopping malls or Black Friday crowds. Instead, local, family-run shops still line the streets of our small towns, just like they have for generations. And on our rural backroads, you never know when you’ll stumble across a hidden gem.
Discover one-of-a-kind gifts and show some love to local businesses while you’re at it. Check out these stores for a little inspiration and explore our full list of specialty shops for even more gift-giving ideas.

Local & Handmade Gifts
Locally made gifts will add a personal touch that you just won’t find in a big-box store. Some of our shops specialize in handmade and artisanal products that really show how much you care. The Local Emporium Co. in Tunkhannock showcases a collection of artwork, décor, candles, soaps, and jewelry, all created by regional craftspeople. They also carry Werkheiser’s Country Candles, which come in tons of cozy scents (we may be biased, but we love the Endless Mountains candle!).
Slanted Art Co-Op in Montrose is also full of creative finds. The gallery features works by over 60 regional artists, ranging from fine art and photography to functional pieces like woodworking, candles, cards, and jewelry.
Meckley Brooms makes handcrafted brooms at their shop in Lopez, just a few miles from Ricketts Glen State Park. As sixth generation broom makers, they still do things the old-fashioned way. From everyday kitchen brooms to whimsical witchy brooms, each one is a stunning work of art. Online shopping is available too.
Gifts for Foodies
One of the best things about the holidays is the food. You can never go wrong with local treats made right here in the Endless Mountains. For decadent Christmas sweets, check out Chocolates by Leopold in downtown Montrose. They create gourmet European-style chocolates and hand-decorated candies right there on-site.
Ebb’s Candy Jar in Tunkhannock is another spot for holiday sweets. This adorable candy shop has everything from nostalgic favorites to gourmet chocolates. While you’re there, take a moment to wander through their beautifully decorated grounds.
The Endless Mountains are also home to several wineries and vineyards. A bottle of local wine is sure to make spirits bright.
