Elk Mountain Ski Resort

Experience Pennsylvania’s Best Skiing & Riding

Elk Mountain is the undisputed leader when it comes to challenge and terrain in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. With 180 skiable acres, 27 trails for all levels, and a terrain park, skiers and snowboarders of all ages and experience levels can enjoy a day on the slopes. It’s no wonder Elk was named Best Overall Mountain in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Located just minutes off of Interstate 81 in Union Dale, Elk Mountain opened in 1959 as one of Pennsylvania’s first commercial ski areas. The mountain remains a favorite today, boasting 1,000 feet of vertical drop, advanced snowmaking, and superior conditions. Want to know current conditions? Check out the Elk Mountain webcams.

Elk Mountain offers lessons for children and adults, as well as advanced ski programs for more experienced skiers. The ski shop has all the gear that you’ll need. For dining, the resort is home to the Winter Garden Restaurant, which serves lunch, dinner, and drinks, and the Elk Mountain Cafeteria, which provides the perfect spot for a quick, casual bite.

Elk Mountain is open seasonally. Night skiing is available on select days. Call or check online for operating hours.
