The Historical Society in downtown Montrose includes extensive genealogy records and an impressive museum celebrating the history of Susquehanna County.
The library system includes locations in Montrose, Forest City, Hallstead-Great Bend, and Susquehanna. The libraries offer enrichment programs for all ages throughout the year.
The Susquehanna County Historical Society & Free Library Association also holds the annual Blueberry Festival in Montrose on the first Friday and Saturday of August.
