The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce presents the 45th Annual Sullivan County Fall Festival & Lumberjack & Chainsaw Carving Competitions at the Forksville Fairgrounds on October 10-11, 2026
Lumberjacks from near and far will compete in exciting contests, including the crosscut, log roll, axe throwing, hot saw, springboard, obstacle course, and much more. Skilled chainsaw carvers will create masterpieces over the course of the weekend, as well as one-hour quick carve pieces. Carvings will be auctioned off each day.
“This event has such a long history in our community, and this year we’re working hard to make the anniversary celebration especially memorable,” said Camelia Peguero, Managing Director of the Sullivan County Chamber. “We’ll be welcoming talented woodsmen and competitors from throughout the region, along with more than 50 craft and artisan vendors. I’ve really focused on bringing in a greater variety of vendors, demonstrations, entertainment, and activities so there is something new to discover around every corner.”
Families will love the pumpkin painting, scavenger hunt, and kids’ activities, while everyone can explore the art expo and quilt show/sale, browse artisan vendors, and sample delicious specialty foods and classic fair favorites. Watch skilled demonstrators at work, including a blacksmith, bladesmith, and glass blower, and meet the crowd-favorite live alpacas. The Pennsylvania WoodMobile will be on display, and mobile axe throwing will allow visitors to try out their own skills.
Leo & Kristen and the Family Tradition Band will perform live music on Saturday. On Sunday, GEM 99/100 will broadcast live from the fairgrounds.
“One of the things I’m most excited about this year is giving our visitors even more opportunities to become part of the fun. In addition to watching the lumberjack and chainsaw competitions, attendees will have the chance to try axe and knife throwing themselves and experience a little of that lumberjack spirit firsthand,” said Peguero. “With incredible talent, unique shopping, great food, family activities, and 45 years of tradition behind us, we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Sullivan County for a very special fall weekend.”
The fairgrounds are located at 4430 PA-154 in Forksville, about one mile away from Worlds End State Park. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admissions are $10 for Saturday or Sunday. Weekend passes are $15.
