Chocolates by Leopold offers the finest artisinal chocolates on the market today. Each confection is a masterpiece of the best ingredients available globally. The wide selection of chocolates ranges from caramels to creams and from nuts to truffles.

Chocolates by Leopold is all about taste—the best tasting gourmet chocolates that you can find. Our chocolates are a mix of old-fashioned candy making and new approaches. Our chocolatier, Leopold Schreiber uses fourth generation, German recipes for handmade candy centers. He also uses the lost art of starch-casting creams in a cornstarch infused with mineral oil. So our candy centers are creamy and flavorful with less sugar and no fillers.

Our signature candy is Buttercrunch, a century old German butter toffee recipe handed down from master confectioner to master confectioner. We roast raw almonds in butter to giving them an intense flavor. We then hand dip this center in chocolate and roll it in crushed almonds to create the perfect candy.

Chocolates by Leopold would like you to have the experience of eating gourmet chocolates that you have removed from a beautiful package. You do not have to ration chocolates for special occasions. Instead, eat gourmet chocolate to make every day special. We commit to bring you our chocolates to make that possible.

The Company also has a commitment to supporting education, reading and learning to work. It focuses on fundraisers that support those endeavors. One example is the fundraiser for Susquehanna County Libraries. You can help the Libraries too by purchasing a candy bar whenever you visit a Pennstar Bank in Susquehanna County.

Chocolates by Leopold creates every chocolate in a factory in the heart of Montrose, PA. Our customers enjoy watching this process as much as Leopold and Tom enjoy demonstrating it. Come watch gourmet chocolate making yourself. The tours are free for groups of 6 or more. Reservations are required.
