Independence Day Party at Salt Springs Park

The Friends of Salt Springs Park are kicking the holiday off early! Visit the park for a homemade pie auction, white elephant sale, quilt show, craft vendors, and food trucks. Enjoy live music by the Blue Velvet Big Band and Corky Staats.

Tunkhannock Rotary Fireworks
July 3, 2025

Sit back and enjoy the fireworks at the Tunkhannock High School football stadium. Popstar Drive will perform live music before the show, and the senior class will sell food and drinks at the concession stand. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Rooftop Music with Jeffrey James Band
July 3, 2025

Hotel Anthracite is getting the party started with live music by the Jeffrey James Band. Later that evening, the rooftop will be the perfect place to view the Carbondale fireworks. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

FWM Fire Co. Independence Day Celebration
July 4, 2025

The town of Mehoopany is celebrating all day long! The fun begins with the parade at 10:30 am, followed by the chicken barbecue at 11 am. Fireworks begin at dusk.

The Repasz Band has performed in Eagles Mere for the Fourth of July for over 20 years. Spread out a blanket or chairs on Village Green as the band plays patriotic songs, Broadway classics, and more. This event is presented by the Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts.

The Summer Sessions concert series at the Old Carter Barn will have a nostalgic twist this week. Members of the Scranton Shakespeare Company present “The Great American Song Book,” featuring classic Broadway songs from Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and more. A picnic buffet will be available.

The annual IHM Picnic will take place on the hill behind St. Basil’s Church in Dushore. Don’t miss fun for all ages, including raffles, theme baskets, instant bingo, and more.
