Forksville Covered Bridge

Located just off of Route 154, the Forksville Covered Bridge is perhaps the most well-known of Sullivan County’s three covered bridges. The bridge is a familiar sight to visitors heading to Worlds End State Park and the Sullivan County Fairgrounds.

The Forksville Covered Bridge was built in 1850 by Sadler Rogers, a prominent local builder. It spans 152 feet and 11 inches across the Loyalsock Creek. It is a Burr arch truss bridge and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The bridge is still in use today, and visitors can drive across it. Street parking is available in Forksville. Visit Forksville’s Big Mike’s Steaks & Hoagies for a creekside picnic and excellent views of the bridge.
