Mountain Meads Co. opened its doors in October 2023. They are a micro-meadery (honey winery) and apiary specializing in small-batch, craft honey and fruit wines. There are only approximately 500 registered meaderies in the United States, and Mountain Meads Co. is thrilled to bring this uncommon beverage to the Endless Mountains!
Mountain Mead Co.’s wines are produced and processed on-site at their woodland property in Falls Township, Wyoming County. They use estate harvested honey from their hives to make their wines and flavor them with fruits from their gardens and fruit trees. They also sell beeswax candles, jars of raw wildflower honey, branded merchandise, and gift certificates.
Their tasting room is a nostalgic 1940s classic Americana throwback to the simpler days of yesteryear, featuring a reclaimed barn wood bar and antique décor. They even have a working phonograph! Come try it out! Since Mountain Meads Co. is small, they are currently open to the public by reservation only on Fridays and Saturdays.
