
The Rotary Club of Tunkhannock has been serving the community since 1925. The club is part of a global network of volunteers, including 1.2 million Rotarians and 34,000 Rotary clubs around the world. They embrace the ideal of “Service Above Self” as they help those in need locally and globally.
The Rotary Club of Tunkhannock hosts several community events throughout the year:
- Roadside Clean-Ups (spring and fall)
- July 3rd Fireworks
- Rotary Harvest & Wine Festival
- Candy Cane Day
- Annual food collection drives
Their youth programs include:
- Josh the Baby Otter Water Safety Program
- Two scholarships for high school seniors
- Sponsor of Tunkhannock High School’s Interact Club
- Rotary essay contest
- Dictionary distribution for third graders
- Rotary Relays Invitational
- Rotary International Youth Exchange
- Rotary Youth Leadership Camp
The club also provides financial support for local and international causes:
