Tunkhannock Viaduct

Also called the Nicholson Bridge. It is the largest poured concrete railroad bridge in the world. This 2,375-foot long viaduct, completed in 1915, served as the centerpiece of an advanced improvement that greatly reduced grades and curvature along a 39-mile portion of the Lackawanna Railroad’s New York-Bufallo line. The bridge continues to operate as a cargo carrying line. Located in the village of Nicholson, Rte. 11 or Rte. 92.
